چکیده

A novel approach for predicting the intermetallic compound (IMC) formation during friction stir welding (FSW) of AA6061 to commercially pure copper has been developed, in addition their effect on mechanical properties. The temperature distribution aluminium weld nugget determined by a finite element model, use an Al–Cu phase diagram and elemental concentration have combined predict validate several IMCs present different zones weldment. results performing butt-welding these dissimilar metals using FSW process demonstrated that highest ultimate tensile strength 194.5 MPa was achieved at 1500 rev min−1 tool rotational speed, 100 mm traverse speed zero-tool offset.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Joining of Commercial Pure Copper via Self-reacting Friction Stir Welding

Three mm thick plates of commercial pure copper were welded via friction stir welding method using a floating bobbin tool. The effect of different process variables such as the tool transverse speed and the tool rotation speed were examined in order to create a weld with the desired properties. A defect-free weld was obtained at a rotation speed of 1400 rpm and a transverse speed of 18 mm/min w...
